Reaching the world for Jesus!
Jesus said He would build His “church.” The Greek text has ekklesia, a compound of ek (out of) and klesis (a calling). He is calling sinners out of the world into fellowship with Him. Jesus is building a holy temple, one living stone at a time, stone upon stone, with the apostles and prophets as the foundation and Jesus as the chief cornerstone. (Zechariah 6:12, Matthew 16:18, Ephesians 2:20, I Peter 2:4-8)
